The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) is doing rehabilitation along the Manila Bay. It aims to beautify the place to help attract more investors and tourism. Activities to make this possible includes land reclamation and building sea wall. Environmentalists and activists reacted differently and suggest that this project has bad effects to the environment such as disruption corals, fishes, and other marine animals living on the shoreline and the displacement of people whose livelihood is in the area. 1.
