IT IS BETTER TO BE POOR THAN TO BE RICH
The Bible does not teach that it is wrong to be rich and it is good to be poor. But why it is mentioned that it is better to be poor than to be rich?
This is the situation comes from the bible which supports the question.
The Lord Jesus spoke to a rich man who had been keeping the commandments of God since childhood but there was something else missing from him. Jesus said unto him, “Sell all that you have and distribute to the poor, sold and followed me”, but he did not do so. The person who spoke to Jesus, was sad and just went home, choosing to return to his riches rather than do what the Lord Jesus asked him to do.
Meaning to say, it is difficult to be rich because we regret the things we have and what we have worked for, that once we obey God, we cannot help but look back at the things in this world. That being rich is afraid that he will lose wealth as the rich man did in story. While being poor, does not possess important things and it is easier for him to leave everything just to obey God.
