The area of square paper is 625 sqcm . If the paper is cut horizontally in the centre, find the length and breadth of the rectangle so formed.

first lets find the side of square=
area of square=(side)×(side)
=square root of 625
=25
so side is 25 cm
length of rectangle = side of square (they are same)i.e 25 cm
breadth of rectangle=
as the paper is cut half the breadth would be half of the side of square
=24/2
=12 cm
breadth=12cm
length =25cm
