Entrepreneurs plays a big role in a society, they are the agent of an economic change, they are the opportunity seeker, risk taker, goal settler and problem solver. As an entrepreneur assessing PEC's is vital because the success of every business is a result of a successful assessment of PEC's. If the PEC's is well identified an entrepreneur will understand it's skills to see and evaluate business opportunities.

After identifying PEC's, an entrepreneur will discover it's the strengths and other areas that the entrepreneur needs to develop. An entrepreneur will determine if he/she can perform those functions effectively and it is very useful in selecting viable business venture.
