$GIven : \frac{a}{ax-1} + \frac{b}{bx-1} = a + b$

$= \ \textgreater \ \frac{a}{ax - 1} - b + \frac{b}{bx - 1} - a = 0$

$= \ \textgreater \ \frac{a - abx + b}{ax - 1} = \frac{abx - a - b}{bx - 1}$

$= \ \textgreater \ (a - abx + b)( \frac{1}{ax - 1} + \frac{1}{bx - 1} ) = 0$

$= \ \textgreater \ (a - abx + b)(ax -1 + bx - 1) = 0$

$= \ \textgreater \ (a - abx + b)(ax + bx - 2) = 0$

$= \ \textgreater \ a - abx + b = 0

$

$= \ \textgreater \ abx = a + b$

$x = \frac{a + b}{2}$

(2)

$= \ \textgreater \ ax + bx - 2 = 0$

$= \ \textgreater \ (a + b)x = 2$

$= \ \textgreater \ x = \frac{2}{a+b}$
