What is the proper way of measuring liquid milk?
When it comes to baking, accurate measurements of ingredients is a must, as a little mistake can ruin the whole baked product. Though not that too exage but really, even a small mistake can make a difference. Let's say for example, I will be baking a cake, and my family will be my judges so I need to show them the whole process. I brought all the ingredients and measuring tools and equipment. I measured all the dry ingredients and now the liquid ingredients. Yes this is the most awaited part, how to measure liquid ingredients? With my knowledge and a little bit expertise, the best tool to measure liquid ingredients is the graduated cylinder, a cylindrical glass or plastic tube with a handle and a calibrated scale etched ( or marked) on the outside wall. To start with, place the appropriate liquid measuring cup on a flat and stable surface ( note: don't hold it in your hand as you might won't able to get the appropriate measurement of the ingredient). Pour in the liquid milk ( evaporated milk) until it is just under the line ( the amount of ingredient that you want). Squat or bend down so your eye is exactly level with the graduation. When you see that the desired amount wasn't obtained or too much, you can remove or add a little then repeat measuring at eye-level. And now you're done with the liquid ingredients. That's the process that I've done and my family has nothing to say but "wow" excellent. At least they learned something from me (ehe ). I was able to finish baking the cake successfully.
