Search for a local current event which you can write a news report about. It may be about the weather, a new shop opening near you, whether your parents like face to face or online classes better, etc. Then, follow the following features in order to write a minimum of three paragraph news report about your chosen topic.

• Find a topic, then, write a catchy headline.
• First paragraph
 In the first one or two sentences, tell who, what, when, where, and why about topic. Try to hook the reader by beginning with a funny, clever, or surprising statement or begin with a question or a provocative statement.
• Second paragraph
 Give the reader the details. Include on or two quotes from people you interviewed. Write in the third person (he, she, it, they). Be objective—never state your own opinion. Use quotes to express other’s opinions.
• Last paragraph
 Wrap the article up. Don’t use “In conlusion,” “To finish,” “To end,” etc., in introducing your conclusion. Instead, try ending with a catchy phrase.
