In this case, even we are in the modern time, we can still become a true disciple of Jesus who continuously making Him known to others.
I feel blessed that I am a Catholic who have the graces from Jesus. Jesus is always with me and that is what I am always holding specially at times that I feel weak and alone. Like the Apostles, some of them had hesitations, but through the grace of the holy spirit that they received during Pentecost, when the holy spirit descended to them.
Pentecost
Comes from the Greek work Pentekoste meaning fifty. This is a Christian celebration that commemorates the descend of the Holy Spirit to the eleven disciples of Jesus. We noticed that they are only eleven disciples because Judas Iscariot is already dead during this time. He was not able to forgive himself about his betrayal to Jesus.
The other disciples after receiving the Holy Spirit, started to preach about Jesus to the different parts of the world. They were able to speak there own languages and have alot of courage to make Jesus known.
