1. Introduction:
According to the World Health Organization, mental health problems are the leading cause of disability globally. In recent years, the rise of social media has significantly impacted the mental health of individuals. Specifically, social media has been linked to increased anxiety, depression, and a decrease in self-esteem. While social media has its benefits, it is important to consider its impact on mental health.
Thesis Statement: Social media negatively impacts mental health by increasing anxiety, depression, and decreasing self-esteem, and society needs to take steps to mitigate the negative effects.
