October 8, Regional Executive Director Gwendolyn Bambalan of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Region 2 installed Magat as the In-Charge, Office of the PENR Officer by virtue of DENR Region 2 Special Order No. 344.
The installation ceremony was held at the Ecological Park and Training Center in Aritao town during the first provincial executive committee meeting presided over by the new provincial head.
Magat is a Geodetic Engineer by profession who hails from Tuguegarao City. Prior to his new assignment, he was the Community Environment and Natural Resources Officer (CENRO) of Aritao where he also served as the OIC, CENRO for three years.
As provincial chief, Magat will lead the implementation of environmental programs and projects in 15 municipalities consisting of 275 barangays.
Director Bambalan in her message congratulated Magat for his initiatives and accomplishments during his stint as the CENR Officer of Aritao as she reminded the key officials in the province to ensure that they create or leave legacies where ever they will be assigned.
She urged all personnel to always work to the best of their abilities in providing quality service.
“We also need to assess ourselves how responsive are we in addressing the concerns of our clients and in terms of our contributions to the vision and mission of our department,” Director Bambalan underscored.# (PENRO Nueva Vizcaya/RSCIG)
