Describe how the turbine works.

A moving fluid—water, steam, combustion gases, or air—pushes a set of blades mounted on a rotor shaft in a turbine generator. The rotor shaft of a generator is spun/rotated by the force of the fluid on the blades. The rotor's mechanical (kinetic) energy is converted to electrical energy by the generator.
