2) If it were not for the expenses involved, I would go by air.

Answer: Were it not for the expenses involved, I would go by air.

3) If he had studied well, he would have scored high marks.​

Answer: Had he studied well, he would have scored high marks.

Rules

1. In inversion the auxiliary verbs or 'be ' forms arre placed before the subject.
2. In the first sentence the modal auxiliary verb 'should' is used before the subject 'you'.
3. In the second sentence the auxiliary verb 'were' is used before the subject 'it'.
4. In the third sentence the auxiliary verb 'had' is used before the subject 'he'.
