Obesity among Young Filipinos
Obesity has become a major health issue for some Filipino children and this problem is aggravated by the lack of physical activity and eating junk foods. In addition to healthier eating habits, one solution would be to make it easier for these children to exercise in daily basis and deprive them from eating junk foods. This is done through the help of their parents. Parents and caregivers can help prevent childhood obesity by providing healthy meals and snacks, daily physical activity, and nutrition education. Healthy meals and snacks provide nutrition for growing bodies while modeling healthy eating behavior and attitudes.
