Her skin is made from Frubber (flesh rubber) and she can show more than sixty-two facial expressions. She was created using robotics and artificial intelligence technologies. Artificial intelligence (AI) studies how human brain thinks, and how humans learn, decide and work while trying to solve a problem. Sophia made her first public appearance in March 2016 in Austin, Texas, United States. In October 2017, Sophia became a Saudi Arabian citizen, the first robot to receive citizenship of any country.
