• Oedipus Rex's story settings happened in one day and one place
• Romeo and Juliet have multiple story settings that happened in several places during one week, (Sunday - Friday).
• Carmen is a French Opera that is under the genre of Opera Comique.  a type of theater play that is similar to modern Musical Movie Genres.

2. What are their similarities in terms of theatrical elements?

• All are considered tragedy genres. In modern times it evolved to the Drama genre.

3. Why do you think that tragedy is commonly portrayed in theater plays and operas during the Greek and Renaissance?

• In both the Renaissance Era and the Greek Era, tragedy was a form of expression and reflection about personal views on politics, philosophy, social, and religious values.

V. REFLECTION If you will be given a chance to portray one of the characters in the western classical theater plays and operas. Who would you choose and why?​

• Romeo(male) or Juliet(female). Because the death of the two ended their family's feud, which is noble and beautiful for me.
