The properties of multiplication are: Commutative. (E.x: 4 x 11 = 11 x 4) This property indicates that the order of the factors does not affect the product. Associative: (e.x (4 x 2) x 3 = 24) In the multplication sentences (4 x 2) x 3 = 24 and 4 x (2 x 3) = 24 we can form the number sentence — (4 x 2) x 3 = 24 = 4 x (2 x 3). Thus, changing the grouping of the factors does not affect the factor. Identity property is simple. Just 1 x 7 = 7 Any number multiplied by 1 is always the number multiplied. Zero property. 1 x 0 is 0. It is simple just like identity property. Any number multiplied by 0 is always 0. Distributive is the hardest of them all. (E.x 5 x 23, rename 23 as 20 + 3. 5 x ( 20 + 3) perform multiplication. (5 x 20) + (5 x 3) find the products. 100+15 add. 115 then check. (5 x 23 is equal or = 115) i hope this helps!
