2FeSo₄--->Fe₂O₃+So₂+So₃ ================================================== We know ferrus sulphate crystal is green in colour . When we hear the crystals it turns into a dirty-yellow anhydrous solid as it loses water of crystallization. When heated more the anhydrous material releases So₂ and So₃ and leaves a reddish-brown iron oxide.

On heating, FeSO4 crystals lose water and anhydrous FeSO4 is formed colour changes from light green to white on further heating, it changes to ferric oxide ( Fe2SO3 ), sulphur dioxide (SO2)and sulphur trioxide (SO3)
