Problem: What materials are good conductors of heat and electricity?
Materials: ceramic mug with hot tap water, metal spoon, plastic spoon, barbeque stick,
nail, wooden ladle, aluminum foil
Procedure:
Note: Before doing this activity, ask the guidance and help of your parents or guardian.
1. Arrange the container in one place.
2. Half fill the ceramic mug with hot tap water. (Be careful in handling hot objects.)
3. Dip the metal spoon, then touch the handle. What did you feel?
4. Do the same with the other materials.
5. Which materials conducted heat? Which did not?
6. Record your observations on the table below.
