Active Voice refers to a sentence in which the subject is performing the action.
Passive Voice refers to a sentence in which the subject undergoes the action. In other words, it is writing the sentence in reverse order.
Example: She is doing homework. (Active)
Homework is being done by her. (Passive)
NOTE: Sentences that convey habitual actions cannot be changed to passive mode.
The teacher selected the new monitors of the class. (Active)
"Alas! The ship has been lost forever."
The above sentence requires a narrator and hence cannot be changed to Active.
