Plates moving apart are forming divergent (convergent, divergent) plate boundary. Bift valleys
(Faults, Rift valleys) and oceanic ridges are indications of separating crust. Most boundaries of
this type are situated
(in continents, underwater). As plates break, new materials
from the
(mantle, core) ooze up to fill the gap forming a new seafloor. This is why
it is also known as
(constructive, destructive) plate boundary.​
