Toto was a monkey which the narrator's grandfather had bought from the Tonga driver as he loved animals. The monkey was kept in a room but it created a nuisance there, afterwards even in the servant's room get along well with other animals.
One such day when the grandfather was visiting Saharanpur, he took the monkey along with him but he peeped out of the bag at the railway station, so he had to pay three extra bucks for the same and the monkey kept moving in the bag which caught everyone's attention at the station.
