Copy Table 2 in a sheet of paper and study the list of activities if these are observed in your locality Table 2 Effects of Human Activities on Natural Resources ACTIVITIES EFFECTS ON NATURAL RESOURCES 1. When roads are built, mountains are blown off using dynamite. 2. Rice fields are turned into residential or commercial centers. 3. People cut too many trees for lumber or paper or building houses. 4. More factories are built to keep up with the demands of a fast growing population and industrialization. 5. Too much mining and quarrying for the purpose of getting precious metals, stones and gravel. 6. Some farmers use too much chemical fertilizers to replenish soil fertility. 7. Plastics and other garbage are burned. 8. Cars, trucks, and tricycles that emit dark smoke (smoke belchers) are allowed to travel.​
