Mode is one of their plans for the new normal in education. They

DepEd undersecretary Leonora Briones said that the department
continues to look for different modes to deliver quality education
besides pandemic
The school is one of the densest places in our community but we
have to take extra precautions. Mass testing for teachers and
students must take place before the opening of classes.
DepEd undersecretary Annalyn Sevilla said, "Alternative Delivery
Node exists even before COVID. We will definitely use it. This will
be our new normal in education​please help
