One boat travels 10 kph faster than another. While one boat travels 125 km, the other travels 155 km. Find their speeds.
Let x be the speed of the slower boat.
The faster boat is x + 10 kph.
We know from the problem that:
x + (x + 10) = 125 + 155
2x + 10 = 280
2x = 270
x = 135 kph
So the slower boat is traveling at 135 kph and the faster boat is traveling at 135 + 10 = 145 kph.
