In my teenage years I had the not-so-unique experience of losing the entirety of my self confidence, drifting aimlessly and then putting it back together piece by piece.
Till 10 th grade I was reckoned to be a pretty good student. Always finishing among the promited in class, pretty good at extempore, a model of good behavior, constantly praised both at home and at school. I even managed to get a perfect score in exam sometime. Plaudits rained down from everywhere, a glorious future seemed assured.
realized that if I gave up, I would be settling for some thing less than what I could have achieved. This new awareness that I too had skills which I could contribute to the world. coupled with more realistic expectations from myself and knowledge of my limitations ultimately made me who I'am today
