1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2 “Honor your father and mother”—which is the first commandment with a promise— 3 “so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.”
Write the John 3:16
John 3:16
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Who are the 2 fishermen that Jesus called first to be his disciple
Simon (who is called Peter) and his brother Andrew
Explanation:
Jesus is the Word of God, and He is also God in the person of the Son (John 1:1). He incarnated as a man that He may live and do the will of the Father and to obey His commands that we can't do. Jesus chose His twelve disciples, not in a sense to help Him but to use them as a vessel of God's message towards to people. Two of those people are Simon (who is called Peter) and Andrew. The two disciples were called by Jesus while on the coast of the Sea of Galilee (Matthew 4:18-22). But there's also another disciple that is chosen by Jesus, yet betrayed Him. The name is Judas Iscariot, and he is the one who actually used by Satan to betray the Son of God. But every evil way of the wicked here in our world is used by God for the good of His people. Jesus' crucifixion is not just because the mobs are angry with Him. God the Father used this very shameful moment that you and I might be forgiven, and the wrath of God be satisfied and His righteousness and His justice might also proclaim and satisfied. We are sinful because of the disobedience of one man (which is Adam by the way) (Romans 5:19) but because of Jesus' obedience to the will and law of the Father, many will be made righteous (Romans 5:20). All of us are sinners, in need of the grace of our God, and through His Son, He showed His love towards the world. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believe in Him shall not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16). But we must respond to it, by repenting of our sins and believing the gospel (Mark 1:15). Ephesians 6:1-3 is imperative for those children, who actually know the Lord because of their parents' testimony of who God is and what He has done to a sinner like us. It is a display of thanksgiving and love that the children must do because they have been also redeemed by our God, so they might also learn the essentiality of the law, not following it to be self-righteous but to obey it as a child redeem by God from the dominions of sin and death. No one is righteous but our God alone, and through believing in Jesus, we are being made righteous.
