BLACK SWAN

Areum is a musician, music is her life and soul yet, every day that passes it feels like her passion for music is dying. Losing connection to what she love feels like falling into a pit of despair, and that's what she fear the most. As days goes by she feels her heart is beating slowly, still afraid she decided to play the piano in her studio. Hitting the first note she felt something inside of her died; her passion, it's no longer their. Still determined she continued to play the piano but, all she can hear was nothing its like a vast of waves from the ocean are blocking the melodies telling her to stop as her passion is already dead. Gil, her friend is the only one who witnessed how Areum lost the most important thing in her life. Gil gathered his courage and talked to Areum, the talked they had was heartbreaking rather than comforting. Hearing the cries of Areum, Gil felt pity for his friend. While they are talking Areum said something that Gil will never forget, "When I lost my passion for music something inside of me died, and it's more painful than facing my own death."

- For me the message of this story is that all of us have passion, and that passion might be our first love, and losing it is painful and eerily similar to death. But we can still have it if we know the purpose of our passion.
