Answer:
Reaction in which one reactant is displaced by another reactant is called displacement reaction.
Example:-
A+BC→AC+B or
AB+CD→AD+CB(in this please don't write AB+CD→AC+BD)
probably you read about cation & anion
There are two types of reactions
Reaction in which one element or atom replaces another element or atom from its compound are called single displacement reaction.
Example:- A+BC→AC+B
Note:- it's base on reactivity
here 'A' is more reactive then 'B'
Generally metals and their salts give single displacement.
you may see the reactivity series in your book.
Reaction in which two ionic compounds is exchanged and make new compounds is called double displacement reaction.
Example:- AB+CD→AD+CB
Note:- this reaction take place mostly in aqueous solution (in water if don't what is aqueous solution) because of ions as I said ionic compounds.
delete this answer if you don't like it or you need much better than this.
latter on if you take science stream then you will read about substitution , elimination etc there are many.
don't take science ༎ຶ‿༎ຶ
hello army are you still using brainly
I am kind worried because army are leaving brainly even one my army friend hadn't replied me
