food for birds, fishes, and wildlife. They aleo serve as habitat for plants and animals.
During stor surges, flooding, or erosion, they become a protection to land areas
nearby.
Protecting and preserving estuaries and intertidal zones can be done by property
disposing waste materials and chemicals, minimizing the use of pesticides and
insecticides in your gardens and cleaning water sewage.
