To my understanding, spotting biases can be really easy if you put your mind to it. Ex.
Our fabric conditioner has been used by a really popular celebrity therefore its better than others.
In that sentence, they are telling you their product has been used by an important celebrity hence why it's better than others. It's making their competition look bad because an important celebrity has used their product and has given it a fair rating.
