Butterfly-Butterflies lay an average of between 100 to 300 eggs, although some species may only lay a few dozen, others can lay as many as a 1,000 or more.
Mosquito- Female mosquitoes can lay a set of up to 100 eggs about every third night after mating only once. They typically lay as many as three groups before dying
Cockroach- One ootheca can contain up to 50 eggs. Egg to adult takes 103 days, on average. Because they produce so many eggs that develop so quickly, their population grows very rapidly.
Frog-Female frogs lay up to 4,000 eggs at a time, which are immediately fertilized by the male. Frogs become sexually mature around four years of age. They emerge from hibernation from February to March to seek out breeding grounds. Females lay their eggs in shallow water.
