King Saul of Segovia, has been very ill for quite sometime and it seemed
that he is going to die. The place physicians did all they could do to cure the
king but he continued to grow worse. The queen was very worried but all she
could do was pray and cry. The doctors were about to make his last days happy.
One night, the queen had a dream. She saw in her dreams the cause of the
king’s illness. The king felt that she did not love him anymore because she had not worn the gold necklace he gave her. She promised she will wear it as a sign
that she still loved him. She had forgotten her promised! She had not worn the
gold necklace for a long time!
The next morning , bright and early, the queen dressed up and wore the
gold necklace, then went to the king’s room.
“Good morning, my handsome handsome king,” greeted the queen joyously. As she
bent over to kiss him, a ray of sunlight struck the necklace. Making it shine like
a million stars in the heavens.
The king opened his eyes and seeing the gold necklace, smiled and
embraced the queen.
“Now I know that you still loved me,” said the king. Then, he got up in bed,
and he began to dance with the queen around the room. He suddenly felt so strong and not sick anymore.
