Jack Taylor lives in a town that requires its residents to maintain the sidewalks in front of their homes. Jack’s elderly neighbor, Zelma Showalter, trips over a large crack in his sidewalk. Her knee injury requires extensive surgery and she must go through three months of physical therapy. Zelma plans to sue Jack for improperly maintaining his sidewalk.
