Good Question but Think !
ax^2 +bx +c = 0
we say a not = to 0 (why ? )
If a = 0 then the equation will become bx +c = 0
bx = -c , x = -c/b { Solved !}
Not only that if a = 0 then it will no longer be a Quadratic equation.
