In triangle ABC,

AD/DB = AE/EC ........(Basic Proportionality Theorem)

AD/7.2 = 1.8/11.4

AD × 11.4 = 7.2 × 1.8

AD × 11.4 = 12.96

AD = 12.96/11.4

AD = 1.13684210526

I don't know why the answer I got is so long I know I have done all the steps correctly I have checked it thrice.
