44 children passed the exam and 56 failed
so if each student only failed in one subject then
total failed in English + total failed in maths should be equal to 56 but
42+34=76 so we know from this that some students failed both subjects
and to calculate that number we have to subtract the people failed from total failed
that is 76 - 56 =20
and to calculate percentage
20/100×100= 20%
