Favourable outcomes = 6
Total balls = 30
Probability of favourable outcomes,
Favourable outcomes/Total Balls
6/30
On further dividing,
1/5 = 0.2
Now,
1 is always taken as a whole or total.
So,
Probability that she did not hit the boundary (unfavourable outcomes),
1 - Probability of favourable outcomes
1 - 0.2
1.0 - 0.2 = 0.8
There you go! That is your answer ;)
