Own Theory About Plate Movements
If I will be asked to write my own theory that will explain the possible causes in the movement of plate tectonics, I would have proposed that the gravitational forces of the heavenly bodies like the sun and the moon might have contributed to the movement of the plate on the planet.
However, there are a lot of evidences regarding the Plate Tectonics theory, and that is why many geologists today agree that it might be the best model that explains why plates move. In the future, when more sophisticated methods to study the earth’s interior are developed, the theory of Plate Tectonics might change once again.
On the other hand, I might also use Wegener’s theory because it has spot-on evidences that are hard to dismiss.
