If the president has no choice of making a bill void, what is the need for his or her consent
I mean that if president will not accept it and will tell parliament for reconsideration and it will again pass in parliament then president cannot withhold assent to bill so what is need of president's assent
Answers & Comments
We actually do not require his ASSENT. It is just for the books to make it look decent. In real life President is just a symbolic leader of the country while the real power rests with the PM. So it is the president's job to represent India on documents and in ceremonies. He doesn't have to power to formulate laws or to change them.
But because it is the highest post of our country so we need his signature on laws and documents.
I hope it helps ☺️
