CP of 25 books = SP of 20 books

Let CP of 1 book be x
CP of 25 books = 25x

SP of 20 books = 25x
SP of 1 books = 25x/20

∵ SP > CP , it is profit.

Profit = SP - CP
= (25x/20) - x
= 25x - 20x / 20
= 5x / 20 =x/4

Profit % = Profit *100
CP

= x/4 * 100
x

= x *100
x*4

= 25x / x

= 25 %
