In order for me to stop the object moving towards me, I need an equal amount of force the object exerted but it moves in opposite direction to the object
Consider this situation:
If an object has exerted a force of 15 N going to the East, then you need 15 N amount of force going to the west in order to stop the object from moving.
Object Force required
15 N ( East ) → stop ← 15 N ( west )
Mass and acceleration affects the amount of Force exerted by an object. The higher the mass the higher the Force and the higher the acceleration the higher also the Force exerted.
The is why, heavier object have more momentum while running compared light object when they have the same acceleration.
