Temperature is used as a guide to the level of heat energy from objects
Temperature measures thermal energy
Temperature units include Celsius, Fahrenheit, Reaumur or Kelvin

We can calculate it in two ways
1. manual way
2. with the arithmetic series formula
1. manual
initial temperature = 8
Temperature drops by 3/hr
From 10 a.m to 2 pm , there is a difference of 4 hours
Then the final temperature

2. the arithmetic series
The arrangement of the numbers is like this:
a, a+d, a+2d, etc ,
so the temperature series :
8°F, 5°F, 2°F,...
a = initial term ⇒ initial temperature = 8° F
d = different (common difference) = -3°/hr
The formula for the nth term ⇒2 o'clock is the 5th hour(from 10 AM), so n = 5

She is now on the 7th floor.

3+6-2=7

At first she is already on the 3rd floor and enters an elevator and goes up to 6 floors from the third floor, therefore at this moment, she reaches the 9th floor of the building. After that, she goes down to the floor, so 9-2=7.

Note: third floor is different from 3 floors
6 floors is different from 6th floors.
They have different meanings.
