Because refrigerator is like a hospital for foods. They stay longer :)
After for a week or so, you can still eat them (depends on what you're cooking).
Once you've taken the foods out, they're all moisty and cold. But if you cook them again, they will be fresh as a daisy :>
It's too complicated to explain, that's why I just explained it like that.
