how to understand whether given structure belongs to ketone or aldehyde functional group

If the O is at the end, it is an aldehyde. If the O is in the middle, it is a ketone. If there is an H attached to the O, it is an alcohol. So 1. is methanal 2. is heptanal 3. is propanone

in the first o is on the middle right... then cant it belong to the ketone group?

If any structure will belong to ketone group then two hydrogen atom in middle will be replaced by one oxygen atom by making double bond where as if any structure would belong to aldehyde functional group then two of the hydrogen atom is replaced in the terminal position by oxygen...by making double bond.....
