To find all of subset for A= {a,b,c,d,e)
Find all sets with only 1 element:
{a}, {b}, {c}, {d}, {e}, {}
Find all sets with only 2 elements:
{a,b}, {a,c}, {a,d}, {a,e}, {b,c}, {b,d}, {b,e}, {c,d}, {c,e} {d,e}
Find all sets with only 3 elements:
{a,b,c}, {a,b,d}, {a,b,e}, {a,c,d}, {a,c,e}, {a,d,e}, {b,c,d}, {b,c,e}, {b,d,e}, {c,d,e}.
Find all sets with only 4 elements: {a,b,c,d}, {a,b,c,e},{a,b,d,e}, {a,c,d,e},
{b,c,d,e}.
Find all sets with only 5 elements: {a,b,c,d,e}
The null set or empty set, the set containing no elements, is denoted by the symbol {}. The null set is a subset of every set.
The set contains all of the elements; every set is a subset of itself.
All sets are proper subsets except the set that contains all of the elements.
The number of subsets is always [tex]2^{n}[/tex] where n is the number of elements in the set; in this case 5.
There should be [tex]2^{5}[/tex]=32 subsets including the empty set and the set itself.
