In this case we have two glass slabs of varying thickness (but same lengths). We can clearly see that the lateral deviation of the light caused by each differs. Due to its greater thickness, the ray of light passing through the slab deviates more as it experiences more refraction. This is because it travels a greater length through the medium compared to the ray of light.
So, the lateral displacement of light depends upon the thickness of the medium, such that, it will be greater if the thickness is more and vice versa.
