SIMPLE INTEREST = (P N R)/100
P = 40,000
N = 3 years
R = 15%
SO, INTEREST AT THE END OF 1ST YEAR
= ( 40,000 × 3 × 15 )/100
= ( 400 ×3 × 15)
= ( 1200×15)
= 18,000 Rupees.....
