The reason for different atomic masses in isotopes is presence of neutrons. they carry no charge but they weigh almost equal to a proton. an element which has can have different number of neutrons are called isotopes.

_________________________ Reason =-=-=-=-= Weight of protons and electrons in all isotopes are the same.
But the weight difference lies in different number of neutrons.
Each Isotopes have different number of neutrons. And thus it results in the different weights of the isotopes. ____________________________ ♥️Hope this is what you need.♥️
