As the triangles have equal vertical angle,So the other two angles are also same. So both triangles are similar. We know that for two similar triangles the ratio of the areas are equal to the ratio of the squares of the corresponding sides (or ratio of corresponding heights) So ratio of sides=3/4=ratio of corresponding height.
