Actual achievement is more important than wild ambition. Though ambition is a quality necessary for progress in life, it should be moderate enough to be realistic and practicable. Just as we have drawbacks and limitations, so we have talents and abilities to succeed in life. In making life enjoyable, our natural abilities have far more important than our impractical desires. Our attention should, therefore, be focused more on our abilities, and the ways to improve them, than on anything else. We may use our talents to improve the quality of our lives, but not to feed our greed. We must learn to be content with what we have. We may or may not fulfill our desires, but we can nourish our talents and use them for our welfare.
